Abstract

Disposition de caractères sur les claviers de machines à écrire, télé-imprimeurs et autres appareils de transmission ou de traitement de l'information écrite comportant un clavier pour être manipulé à deux mains, déterminé scientifiquement selon des critères fondamentaux. Dans cette disposition de caractères, les voyelles sont réservées à la main gauche et les consonnes fréquentes à la droite, les lettres les plus fréquentes sont affectées à la 3**e rangée à partir du haut sur un clavier à 4 rangées, les autres lettres fréquentes sont placées sur la 2**e rangée à partir du haut et les moins fréquentes sur la rangée du bas (la 4**e) et sur celle du haut (la 1**re). Le point et la virgule sont affectés à deux touches-languettes destinées à être frappées par les pouces et situées au bas du clavier.
