Abstract

A fastening head (2) of the flat contact pin (1) has two cut-out strips (3) which are bent into a 'Z' or 'S' shape. Part (4) of the flat pin (1) projecting above the strips (3) in split in two by a longitudinal cut (5). The flat contact pin is esp. used in motor vehicles. The bent cut-out strips engage with the insulating substrate of the circuit board, which extends perpendicular to the main part of the contact pin. The two tongues of the top part (4) of the pin extend above the plane of the circuit board and are bent over to hold the circuit board onto the contact pin.
