Abstract

The device comprises an insulating strip assembly (7) which carries contacts (5) arranged on it at predetermined spacings, these contacts (5) being fixed on the terminals or extremeties of the printed circuit boards after which the assembly of the contracts and the board can be engaged in the slot of an appropriate connector. The contacts (5) are lodged in slots in the insulating strip (7) and are then soldered in position. Before the contacts are soldered in the slots they are held by a band strip (6) which is removed after contact soldering is complete. A suitable tool (13) is used for the soldering and the strip (6) may be easily detached by means of weakened lines (14).
