Abstract

The radio link repeater system consists of a receiver and transmitter operating in the Gigahertz region with a frequency separation of several Megahertz. The receiver is connected to a frequency changer fed from a mixer oscillator (7). The amplified intermediate frequency is fed to a second changer stage (4) whose oscillator (5) has a frequency which is the same as the difference between the relay receive and transmit frequencies. The second intermediate frequency is further converted in a third mixer (6) driven from the oscillator (7) common to the first mixer stage. Apart from bandpass filtering in the last two frequency-changer stages, no special filtering arrangements are required.
