Abstract

The receiver operates with an auxiliary colour carrier whose frequency is transmitted at the beginning of each line in the form of a series of oscillations; it varies between two values f1 and f2 from one line to another; a switch for the chrominance signal is provided. A first processing circuit for signals from the chrominance bandpass amplifier has a balanced coincidence demodulator with a resonant circuit tuned to a frequency between f1 and f2; a second processing circuit has selective means tuned to half the line frequency; they deliver at their output a signal for the above switch phase identification.
