Procédé d'amélioration de la durée de vie d'une cellule d'affichage électrolytique. On choisit un électrolyte tel que la réaction parasite qui se produit en fin de dissolution forme un corps instable qui se redécompose en ses composants initiaux, la composition de l'électrolyte restant ainsi pratiquement inchangée. Application aux cellules d'affichage en électro-optique.
