Abstract

Procédé et appareil pour produire de la laine de bois Procédé dans lequel le bois est coupé à partir d'un rondin par des moyens de coupe qui passent sur ledit rondin en tournant selon un trajet circulaire. Le rondin de bois est supporté et centré de telle sorte que la direction générale de son fil s'étende parallèlement à une tangente audit trajet circulaire, de sorte que le bois coupé par lesdits moyens de coupe durant chaque passage au-dessus d'un rondin de bois soit détaché sous la forme d'un ruban continu Les moyens de coupe comprennent, au moins, une paire de premiers et de seconds éléments de coupe qui tournent successivement selon ledit trajet circulaire. L'un des deux éléments de coupe de chaque paire comprend des tranchants discrets Ces tranchants discrets coopèrent avec le bois qui est détaché sous la forme d'un ruban continu durant chaque passage des moyens de coupe. Le bois ainsi détaché est séparé en brins allongés de laine de bois. Concerne la production sur une échelle industrielle de la laine de bois pour toutes applications.
