Abstract

L'invention est relative à des xanthates d'amidon réticulé et à leur préparation. Dans un procédé de préparation d'un xanthate d'amidon, suivant lequel un amidon granulaire réticulé est xanthaté dans une pâte aqueuse contenant un excès d'hydroxyde de sodium ou de potassium, on incorpore une quantité de sel de magnésium soluble dans l'eau, avant la deshydratation de l'amidon xanthatique, qui apporte de 0,2 à 1,6 partie en poids de magnésium pour chaque partie en poids de soufre de xanthate, l'amidon xanthaté étant ensuite déshydraté par centrifugation ou filtration. Ces xanthates apportent des améliorations à la séparation d'ions de métaux lourds à partir de solutions aqueuses.
