Abstract

The tubular fence post is intended mainly for mesh fences suspended from longitudinal metal wires strung between posts and is energised as being made by extrusion in a rigid plastic material such as PVC. The fencing is constructed from straight, rectangular or square posts topped with a roof piece in conjunction with propped corners posts (3, 6) which resist the tension in the wires. Each corner post is provided with mortices into which the props fit securely. Each prop has a transverse groove (14) which engages over the bottom edge of the mortice. Both the props and the posts are set into the ground with concrete and bolts are screwed into the posts to support the fencing wires.
