Abstract

The solder contact, for hybrid circuits, consists of a rectangular or square pin (2) with a three-pronged fork at one end. The fork consists of two thin coplanar arms (3) and one thin spring arm (4). The hybrid circuit contact pad fits between the spring arm and the coplanar arms. The fork arms are about 0.25 mm thick whilst the thickness of the pin is between 0.5 and 0.8mm. Wire wrap techniques may be used to connect with the pin. The contact is made by punching from a continuous metal strip.
