Abstract

The anchor bolt is used to attach components (2) to sheet metal plates or similar thin panels and is connected to the component by a pliable plastic strip (5). At the mounting face of the component, a split tubular sleeve (4) is protruding at right angle to the mounting face. On installation, the split bush (4) is located in the mounting hole of the panel. The anchor bolt (6) which has a nose taper (7) at its leading end, is then pushed into the split bush (4). The free end of the bush is thus expended so that the component (2) is firmly attached to the panel.
