Abstract

Electrical connector intended for use with batteries normally used on motor vehicles. The design is aimed at providing a secure mechanical connection together with low electrical resistance and to allow construction from a single piece of metal. The connector is in the form of a thin walled brass annulus broken at one side and extended away from the annulus wall as two wings. The elevation of the annulus (12) is conical, having an angle equal to that of the battery terminal around which it is clamped by a bolt pulling the two wings of the annulus together. Cable connection is via two extensions (17) from one side of the wings.
