Abstract
The disc brake comprises a housing defining a hydraulic cylinder therein and mounted on a stationary part of a vehicle, two pistons slidably fitted in the cylinder and adapted to move in the opposite directions in applying brake, a pair of friction pads disposed on opposite sides of a rotatable disc, a plate-like yoke movably mounted on the housing and stradding a portion of the periphery of the disc, one of the pistons being associated with one of the friction pads for urging it against one surface of the disc, and the other piston being associated with the other friction pad through the yoke for urging the friction pad against the opposite surface of the disc. A pair of pins is secured to the yoke and extend in parallel with respect to the axis of the cylinder and are slidably received in a pair of guide holes formed in the housing for controlling the deformation of the yoke in the direction transversal to the axis of the cylinder.
