Abstract
The main supply section (1) divides into two subsections (2, 3). The second subsection (3) supplies eg electric heating appliances and the first subsection (2) supplies other circuits such as lighting. The first subsection has priority over the second one. The total current flowing in the main section is measured (4) and compared with a reference (7) representing the maximum current consumption. The comparator. (5) output controls a power reducing circuit (8) such as a disconnectors in the second subsection. The current consumed by the network is, therefore kept within permissible limits.
