Abstract

PURPOSE: To supply a regulated power supply circuit where no mechanical electric contacts are required, by controlling a switching element by the output of a comparator connected to one end of a load through a divider and a multiplier.
CONSTITUTION: When input voltage Vi is applied to input terminals 6 and 7, switching element 8 is in an initial on-state, and voltage Vi appears at output terminals 14 and 15. Voltage Vi/K is applied to smoothing circuit 11 by divider 9 and multiplier 10; and when the output rises gradually to exceed reference voltage Vs, comparator 12 turns off switching element 8, and voltage V0 at output terminals 14 and 15 becomes zero. When output voltage V0 becomes zero, the output of smoothing circuit 11 lowers gradually, and comparator 12 turns on switching element 8 again, and output voltage V0 becomes Vi. By repeating this operation, a constant voltage appears at output terminals 14 and 15 on the average.
