Abstract
The heating system uses a swimming bath to recover heat from the soil into which the bath is sunk, and from the sun's rays, with a heat pump between the circuit and the bath. The swimming bath is covered by a heat collector for the sun's rays. This can float on top of the water. There is a heat exchanger between the bath and the heat pump. The circuit between the refrigerator evaporator of the heat pump and the heat exchanger includes also a circuit to prevent freezing so that heat can be obtained at low water temperatures. The floating heat collector can be of transparent plastics foils enclosing buoyant bodies. The collector can include swinging slats supported by a frame above the water.
