Abstract

It has as flat wall at the back, and the front, heat absorbing wall as many assymetrical projections. The distance between the two walls may vary depending of the vol. of hot water required. The water circulates between the two plates, entering by a tube at the base and leaving through a tube at the top. A shutter can be closed over the front absorbant face at night to prevent heat loss. The solar heater can be placed vertically on a wall and is easy to make. By varying the colour of the faces of the projections, the dark, sombre aspect of the front face of the heater can be avoided, thus making it more acceptable on a building wall.
