Abstract

The horizontal bearing girder (1) has reinforcements (2) on the end. A thrust piece (3) is compressed when the bearing girder is subjected to load. A tie beam (4) supports the middle of the bearing girder, and transfers the load to the trust piece and links (5) prevent the thrust from buckling when compressed. The two sloping links (5) and the horizontal girder give a triangular shape with the apex on top. The reinforcement (2) of the end of the girder is situated solely on the top flange of the bearing girder so as to move the corresponding constituent section. The fixture point of the sloping thrust pieces is situated above the bearings girder's centre of gravity so as to create moment in the direction opposite the moment caused by the downward vertical loads.
