Abstract
The bend-resistant frame unit is pref. made of reinforced concrete and comprises two parallel bend-resistant frames sited upright and parallel to each other, interconnected, at least at their ends, by horizontal connecting pieces running across the frame. The bottom frame shanks (19) bear a base slab (30) which takes up the load. In the prolongation of their vertical frame shanks (12, 13, 22, 23) the frames (10-13, 21-23) incorporate bearings (45), the height of which exceeds the max. permissible sag under loading, of the bottom horizontal frame shanks. The base slab may be stretched transversely to the frame shanks which run lengthways along the frame. This ensures that the base slab does not protrude further downward at any point than the part of the shanks with the most pronounced sag, allowing rapid erection of structures with base already loadable.
