Abstract
The mica paper ribbons or plaques are obtained from a pulp of small mica flakes. The mica paper base is assembled with at least a layer of large mica flakes or splittings joined by glueing overlapping large fllkes. The plaques or ribbon consist of alternate layers of mica paper and large flakes or splittings. The plaques are utilised, for example, as supports for electrical heating wires in the construction of electrical heaters, or to isolate electrical conductors by taping before their insertion in the slots of electric motors.
