Abstract

The system is for electrostatically charging solid material particles contained in gas flows and for simultaneously ionising the gases in the flow. It has an outer electrode of tubular design through which the gas flow is fed, and an inner mounted electrode. An electrostatic field is produced between the inner and outer electrodes. This electrostatic field is in the form of a cone, of outward divergent type running at right angles to the flow of gas passing between the electrodes.
