1523663 Spray-producers AIR-INDUSTRIE 16 Jan 1976 [16 Jan 1975] 1819/76 Heading B2F An electrostatic powder-spraying nozzle for producing a fan-shaped spray of electricallycharged powder particles comprises a cylindrical intake duct 1 for receiving a stream of powder and air, a convergent-divergent passage 2 wherein said stream is homogenised, a cylindrical duct 6, a duct 5 which, in the direction of flow of the stream through the nozzle, changes from being circular in crosssection to being an elongated oblong in crosssection at the downstream end so as to shape the stream into a fan-spray which issues from the downstream end of the duct at a nozzle outlet 7, and charging electrodes such as 8, 9, a deflector plate 4 being located in duct 5 for deflecting the stream of powder and gas in a direction perpendicular to the direction of flow of the stream.
