Abstract

The grille is formed from a strip of sheet metal whose two lengthwise edges are bent downwards, while the intermediate part forms the grill plate. The grille may be used for covering wells, forming paths etc. It has oblong holes formed in it with edges bent downwards, extending in the transverse direction. The width of each oblong hole measured in the lengthwise direction of the grille, and thus the height of its bent-over edge, increases from the ends towards the centre line (14). Between the main holes secondary ones (16) may also be formed, parallel to them and overlapping thier ends, also with edges bent downwards. These extend nearly to the bent-over edges of the grille.
