Abstract

The cooker hood has an inlet (14) with a filter (26) pref. of foam plastics mounted at the front through which the waste air is drawn up by means of a blower ventilator system (20,22). The expelled air from the ventilator is taken up in a collecting chamber (50) which has an outlet (54) provided with a second filter (56) which preferably contains activated carbon. Through this design it is possible to obtain a comparatively high inlet speed which ensures that the maximum of steam and fatty particles are drawn up from the cooker into the hood. The second filter at the outlet of the hood considerably reduces the outlet speed so that there is no fast current released into the room.
