Abstract

Unit is made up mainly of thermal insulating panels provided with rapid fastenings to secure each panel to another and/or to a structural framework comprising uprights and cross beams. Eahc panel pref. comprises a thick, outer frame with its two, opposed, major faces sheeted in to enclose a frame space filled with thermal insulation material e.g. polyurethane foam. The rapid fastenings are pref. housed in the thick outer frame of the panel. Such fastenings may take the form of retractable hooks adapted to engage fixed bars. Alternatively, the fastenings may comprise screwed coupling bolts to engage tapped inserts. Used in constructing controlled temp. storage units such as bakery dough proving cabinets, hot cupboards, cold rooms, cooling cabinets, etc. Design is versatile.
