Abstract

A composite panel features a sheet or foil-type element shaped into corrugations. The channels between the corrugations are interconnected by apertures in the channel walls. The apices of the corrugations extend in alternating directions and define two parallel planes, the intervening space being filled with a foam that fills each channel. The longitudinal aces of the parallel channels are inclined towards the edges of the panel. The panel is used in mfr. of blind frames, furniture construction. It has good mechanical strength and its prodn. cost is low.
