Abstract

The panel has a metal support sheet to which the sound-insulating blocks are secured so as to leave an air space between them and the support sheet. The support sheet may be in the form of a U-shaped profile (1), which can be attached to vertical girders (9), with the free edges (4, 5) of the profile (1) bent round by 90 deg. so as to form two parallel rails. The blocks (8), which may be made from aerated clay, have channels (6, 7) formed in two opposite sides, to allow them to be slid along the rails.
