Abstract

The demountable rigid plastic cover (1) for eg the blade of rotary electric saw (2), is of box form, duals as a saw stand, and has plastic toggle type fasteners (10, 15, 11) which lock the saw body (2) and the cover (1) temporarily together. The cover (1) has a venturi type opening (5, 7, 9), traversing vertically between the saw (2) seat (8) and the base (6) of the cover (1), and locating adjacent to the edge of the cover. A conduit (9) of uniform section is provided between the two tapered entries (5, () and an internally projecting rib (R) is provided at the top of the conduit (9). The toffee has two heads (10, 11) joined by a cranked elastically deformable strap (15) of varying thickness. The lower head (10) is wedged into the conduit (9) to be retained by the rib (R), and the top head (11) is used to clamp the saw in place.
