Abstract

The carburettor has a float chamber with air inlet orifice (10) to feed a main jet (22), and any idling and starting jets provided. These form an open passage to the mixing duct of the carburettor. There are closed members e.g. two flaps (14, 40) which are capable of cutting off the supply to one or more of the jets and further members (17) to shut off the air inlet orifice. These members provide manually operated mechanical control of the stop position of the motor in which portions of the closure gives a complete seal.
