Abstract

The high pressure steam heating installation comprises a discharge system from the tank having a hot water and steam exchanger fitted at mid-point in the pipework. Steam which escapes from the heater is automatically condensed with the resulting condensate being returned to the tank. The exchanger is in the shape of a sphere and contains water inlet and outlet pipes at the bottom and two steam pipe connections at the top. One of these connections links the exchanger with the steam heater and the other discharges to atmosphere.
