Abstract

The pivoting joint for flexible pipes is used with pneumatic tools, one end being screwed into the tool by a tapered and screwed part. The joint has a part onto which fits the flexible pipe and carries a shoulder up to which the tube fits. An external hollow part extends from the tool end fitting and has a recess and a nut and a thread at its end. The pipe and support lodge inside this hollow part. They are held tight by a coned collar which is pressed up by another nut to seal the pipe firmly by wedge action. A spiral outer spring prevents pipe kinking.
