Abstract
In order to improve the overall efficiency, in the said process electrical energy is obtained by means of a generator (2) driven by a diesel engine. The exhaust gases from the diesel engine containing oxygen are fed to an after-burner (4) which is coupled to a heat exchanger (5). The thermal energy fed to the heat exchanger (5) can be controlled both by control (3) of the exhaust gas supply from the diesel engine (1) and by feeding additional fuel and air to the after-burner (4).
