Abstract

The recycling device is for domestic hot water used for washing where a wall mounted electricity or gas water heater has been used. The hot water supply system which serves the wash basin or bath takes the form of a closed loop which returns the unused water to the heater. The system comprises a small lagged water tank and a recycling pump whose flow is greater than the minimum possible discharge from the water heater. A temperature sensor automatically operates the pump according to the temperature of the water in the circuit. It is attached to a section of the pipework in the vicinity of the water tank.
