Abstract

The combustion chamber has a burner which receives a combustible gas stored under pressure in a reservoir located at the side of the chamber. A heat exchanger links the burner to the gas reservoir in order to compensate for the pressure drop due to the consecutive cooling of the gas which escapes towards the burner. The heat exchanger is isolated from the gas line joining the reservoir to the burner. It has a collector which forms a thermal screen under the entrance chamber and around the burner body. It is housed in a moulded plastic container isolated from its supports which are formed of U-section metal sheet.
