Abstract

The hanging folder is for containing office documents and comprises a rectangular sheet of cardboard scored down its centre line. The sheet is folded double along the score and two rigid metal strips - one male and one female-are attached to the opposite ends of the folded sheet. The metal strips comprise two notches formed one at either end. The notches of the male strip locate inside the recesses formed in the female for holding the two sides together. Projections located above the slots slide along the tops of rails fitted in a filing cabinet drawer.
