Abstract

The vehicle has a rectangular chassis with a central horizontal region supporting the flat underside of a shallow body portion (1), and secured by e.g. bolts. The front of the chassis has an upwardly projecting portion supporting the steering column, the foot pedal, the front wheel (9) suspension and to which can be attached the lamps, direction indicators and the dashboard. This portion is welded on. A raised part of the body unit encloses the rear wheels (10) and their suspension, also the batteries (8) and electronic equipment (7). The horizontal central region of the chassis carries two parallel cross members connected at their ends by struts located approximately between the wheels, to support the centre part of the body.
