Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively disperse the vibration transmitted from a rear wheel suspension, by providing a recess on a longitudinal reinforcement member and fitting the recess to a suspension housing and connecting a cross to the reinforcement member rear the resess.
CONSTITUTION: The longitudinal reinforcement member 12 is proveded with the recess 12b coincident with the outline of the half-cup-shaped suspension housing 9 welded to the outside surface of a tire cover 8. The reinforcement member 12 is oriented under a floor panel 10 in the front-to-rear direction of chassis. The recess 12b is fitted to the suspension housing 9. The reinforcement member 12 has a flange part 12c welded to the suspension housing 9. The cross member 13 is perpendicularly crossed with the longitudinal reinforcement member 12 and has an end part 13b welded to the suspension housing 9. The cross member 13 is perpendicularly crossed with the longitudinal reinforcement member 12 and has an end part 13b weled to the lower side of the reinforcement member near the recess 12b. Thereby, the reinforcement member 12 and the housing 9 are directly coupled to each other. The loaded point O on the suspension 11 is located near the center of the reinforcement member 12. The vibration of the suspension 11 is uniformly dispersed to all chassis consituent members
