Abstract

The device has a vessel with a tube (26) immersed in the fluid. This tube (26) has a bottom plate (58) mounted in it. Two electrodes (80, 82) extend to the fluid. One of them (80) is connected to a signalling unit input terminal, and the other (82) is supported by the bottom plate (58). A flexible membrane surrounds them and holds an electrolyte. The electrodes activate the signalling unit when they are in contact with the electrolyte. The flexible membrane is deformed when the level of the fluid changes in the vessel (16), so that the circuit passing through the electrodes is broken when the fluid reaches a specified level in the tube (26).
