Abstract

A mounting is used to secure a liquid crystal display cell onto a printed circuit board. The cell is connected to the printed circuit by simple physical contact, no welding or soldering is used. The mounting consists of a frame (1) of insulating material. It is secured to the board (2) by pins (3). One side of the frame (1) has a slot (8) into which fits one side of the cell. This side of the cell has terminal strips (7) which make contact with metal inserts (11) in a rubber strip (10). The rubber strip (10) inserts (11) are also in contact with the printed circuit strips of the board (2).
