Abstract

A volumetric pump is fed from a tank and supplies the liquid to a manifold head. This head is fitted with calibrated restrictor valves and the flow through them is fed through pipes to a distributor and through the application nozzles. The other side of the calibrated vavles is led into another distributor and through a variable pressure regulator back into the tank. This regulator is set by hand to provide a back pressure which, in conjunction with the flow set on the pump and the pressure in the nozzle distributor provides a flow independent of the rate of movement.
