Abstract

The write and read circuit for storage of video information uses alternating line storage of each picture element. The store (1) has a number of parallel registers (2). Each line is controlled by address counters (3, 4), one for the even numbers and the other for the odd numbers. Information is written in via a line selection unit (5) and the video output is taken from the read-out unit (6, 7). The output consists of a number of AND-gates controlled by a clock pulse (S) and an OR-gate (9). An alternative arrangement uses a WIRED OR connection. The read-out speed is double that of the maximum speed of a single storage line.
