Abstract

The machine automatically fits heat-shrinking caps to bottles, particularly corked wine bottles. It has a column (1) on which is mounted a plate (6) supporting the bottle, movable up and down on the column. A grip (16) swinging through 180 deg. on a horizontal spindle fixed to the column delivers the caps onto the bottle tops, which are thrust upwards by the plate and into them. The plate support bar (5) regulates opening of the grip, which swings outwards. This leaves the way free for the bottle as it continues upwards until its neck is inserted in a heter casing (11). the caps are delivered by a multi-compartment magazine (22), at the bottom of which is a grip (27) actuated by a solenoid (26).
