Abstract

The cable clamp (1) for electrical terminal connections is made from a metal strip. The strip is bent to a U-shape with parallel legs (4, 5). The ends (41, 51) of the legs are bent inwards at right angles and overlap one another. The outer ends of the lower member (41) are then bent upwards and over the upper member (51). The clamping screw (3) is then fitted in the tapped hole which passes through the two thicknesses of metal. In an alternative design, one of the tags formed from the member (41) is extended over the surface of the member (51) so that the screw (3) passes through three thicknesses of metal.
