Abstract

The atomiser is made from plastic material and is located between the carburettor and the cylinder inlet manifold. The atomiser consists of a thin walled cylinder flanged at one end and opened at both ends. There is a diametrical rib (5) at one end of the cylinder, this having a central boss which is fitted with the turbine spindle (2). The turbine blades (1) are fitted on a central hub (7) and fixed in position by the retaining rings (3, 4). The friction of the bearings is kept to a minimum and there is little wear.
