Abstract

The mixing enhancer for the intake of an i.c. engine has a frame retaining movable turbulators. It has a round support on a frame of minimal thickness with a central cutout to retain several turbines. These are fixed to pins and retained by circlips on a support tongue. The frame can hold up to five rotors and is fixed in the intake pipe between the cylinder inlet stub and carburettor. The rotors aid homogenisation of fuel flow and can be used with multi-cylinder engines.
