Abstract

The low density product, such as wood shavings is propelled horizontally into the furnace and mixed with combustion air from a fan for ignition by a burner. The combustion gases and combustibles are then taken into a circular path before being guided out through a heat exchanger. A secondary air supply is provided through a further blower. The air from this blower is passed over the heat exchanger and preheats the combustion chamber. The flue gases and ashes pass out to cyclones.
