Abstract

The incinerator has a combustion chamber which is movable within the limit. The combustion chamber is surrounded by auxiliary air passages, and is surmounted by a series of gas passages in which the gas can be cooled before being discharged in the flue stack. Preheated combustion air is fed through a flexible pipe. Ashes are discharged through a bottom door into an ash pit. There is a forced draught fan which supplies air through a flexible pipe to the furnace. This fan feeds air over the top of the fire in the combustible material in order to remove excessive moisture.
