Abstract

A device for feeding wire solder is described notably for semiautomatic or automatic brazing machines esp. those which are integral with the soldering clamp and include a guide for the wire solder. The rate of feed can be varied or maintained constant by using a cone drive the point of contact between the cone and the wire being adjusted by relative displacement between the two. Tubes can be brazed using this device. The assembly is not complex and the feed is regular. There is no pinching of the wire and therefore no materials lost through chip formation.
