Abstract
Joining high modulus refractory fibres, esp. those contg. B, Si and C, singly or combined (with metals) using a silver solder contg. Ag and/or Cu/Zn/Cd/Mn which has a m.pt 650-950 degrees C to join the fibres at their ends. The join is better than that obtd. using a quick setting adhesive.
