Abstract

A clamp to secure square tubular supports of e.g. a marquee, has a base section which is a solid block with open seat for square cross section. This seat contacts at least two faces of the square tube which is inserted sideways and then rotated into its final position in the clamp body. The tube is subsequently clamped by a hinged bracket and a clamping bolt. The solid clamp block (9) has an opening (11) with contact faces (10, 12, 14, 16). The first set of faces receives the square tube in tilted, convenient position. The tube is rotated to come into contact with the clamping faces. The tube (13) is clamped with the clamping bracket held by its hinge pin in the matching groove in the clamping block.
